I ABUSE THEREFORE I AM....

whenever someone stops abusing in his normal communication his friends ask him " अबे गुस्सा है क्या ?"

Rene Descartes once said - "Cogito, Ergo Sum" - I think therefore I am. but now that 400 years have elapsed the philosophical statement can be Conveniently replaced by a more realistic and practical statement- I abuse therefore i am.

ABUSING -AND MATURITY

Abusing has a cathartic effect on feelings and one can let off the seething fury or some other feeling in a very nice way. Nice because the process maintains the emotional health and the person who takes the abuses in a most casual way is considered emotionally mature. After all maturity is all about expressing your feelings rather than repressing them. Once one gets this divine revelation, the divine maturity is attained.

BLACK SHEEP OF FAMILY

Talking of NIT- Rourkela, people are already mature, perhaps ultra matured. They have learnt how to take abuses in the most casual manner as well as hurl out invectives in the wildest style. Although there are some black sheep who don’t even know the ‘B’ of bastard but nonetheless the people can be called mature on average.

RAGGING AND ABUSING

Ragging, though now almost an extinct concept, was once a rodeo of one's abusing skills. The senior who could abuse in the sleaziest manner was considered the coolest dude of the batch. While the fresher took the abuses while keeping his backbones erect and heads down, his seniors assiduously explored the various exquisite and exotic styles of abusing.

ABUSING BRINGS HEARTS CLOSER                                                                      

Many experts opined that this denigrating act, however morally degraded it seemed was but an efficient way of befriending the fresher. Even though this craved the sadistic instincts of seniors but still then it served the greater goal of promoting brotherhood and uniting people. As they put the concept in words “abusing brings hearts closer”.

THE CONSPIRACY THEORY

But today that the ragging has taken a hit due to the vicious manoeuvres of MR. Director the same experts express their grave concerns on the possibility of a secret conspiracy of intimidating the brotherhood and implementing a professor raj.

HAIL THE GREAT ABUSERS

But still then there are people who are successfully carrying the legacy of their seniors (read technical fathers).They are the great abusers of all times, and can strip you off your grace faster than you can say – wassup .They are the people who can entertain the eclectic crowds with their sleazy jokes and can amuse them better than the ‘laughter challenge finalists’. They are the people who truly deserve the distinction of being the NITian because the thing that is common in all of us is –Abusing and they are masters at that.

THE THREE TYPES OF ABUSERS

Speaking of abusers there are many types. First one is the crude type, who are the real masters of the art. Second type involves the people who still in the process of learning and are yet to perfect the skill. Third type is the YO type .these people are just showoffs ,who just feign to be a part of the great abuser community ,but on the inside they are nothing more than crap.

NOSTALGIA OF A PASSOUT
During 2009 convocation of the institute many pass outs came back to celebrate their reunion. One of them became nostalgic and said “यही वो  बैक पोस्ट है जहाँ मैं खुले आसमान के नीचे बैठकर सुट्टा पिया करता था “.He also commented on the way numerous regulations have been imposed and the life at NIT R in general has became much harder than it used to be.

But still the spirit of abusing has not died and never will it, because every engineering student is an inborn abuser and this is the bond that keeps us together .Whether we belong to the first or the third type ,we will still be abusers and so will be our posterity
